  • Ubud & Gianyar

Watching colourful traditional processions of Balinese on their way to the temple, are lasting impressions and simply breathtaking. The traditional crafts of wood carving and artworks can be found in abundance. Daily ceremonies and traditional dances are held in Ubud.

  • Sanur & the East Coast

    Sanur is steeped in Culture, from its beautiful temples, like the Segara Temple (Sea Temple) to the traditional Sindu Markets and its Junkung fishing boats. Following the road north from Sanur, staying in the traditional fishing village of Jasri, we will take you a short distance from the ancient village of Tenganan. The villagers are famous for their many talents. Fabric weaving called Rain Gringsing which is only done in this village, woof carving and Lontar (palm leaf) art. many tradition ceremonies take place, especially the Usabha Sambah festival including Pandanus Fighting using shields and sharp Pandanus leaves.

  • Uluwatu

    Well known for its surfing, this is also an area that is very culturally significant to the Balinese people. Uluwatu Temple (Pura Lunar Uluwatu) is a must see temple sitting on the edge of the limestone cliffs and home to grey long tailed Macaques (Monkeys). this is also the backdrop to the nightly Kecak Dance also known as the Monkey Chant or Fire Dance. The sounds are a result of the polyrhythmic singing by the male dances, sounding like ‘meh-chuck’ giving the dance its name. this is one of the most captivating experiences that you will find in Bali. Add to this the areas spectacular beaches, make it a unique place to stay.
